October 2007 - Exeter Kitchen

This kitchen often functions as the gathering place for family and friends and is situated in the heart of the home, flanked on either side with the dining room on one side and the family room on the other side. In addition to chef quality appliances, this functional kitchen is enhanced by using a split wood finishes on the cabinets. The sideboard for china and the island cabinets are stained and glazed. The balance of the cabinets are painted and glazed. The sideboard and island design is detailed to resemble furniture using bead board, finely detailed legs and teardrop glass reminiscent of the arts and crafts period of time. The counter tops are granite with a waterfall edging and the potter’s style tile backsplash continues behind the fan and up the wall to create a focal point in the kitchen
